Five years ago, Carl Johnson fled the pressures of life in San Andreas - a city torn apart by gang strife, drugs, and corruption.

Now, it's the early '90s. Carl has to go home. His mother is murdered, his family is torn apart, and his childhood friends are headed for disaster.

As he returns to his neighborhood, several corrupt cops frame him for murder. CJ is forced to embark on a journey across the entire state of San Andreas to save his family and take control of the streets.
